Weekly Meta Ads Reporting Template

Weekly Meta ads reporting template for UAE SMEs: AED scoreboard, CRM truth, creative notes, decision log, and a focused 30-minute Monday operating ritual.

If it is not written down, you will re-litigate it every Sunday night

Meta Ads Manager is a cockpit, not a report. Owners and marketing leads need a weekly one-pager that connects spend in AED to business outcomes, explains what changed, and lists next experiments. This template is built for UAE SMEs — bilingual ops, WhatsApp funnels, and seasonal noise included.

The 30-minute Monday ritual

  1. Export last 7 days (and prior 7 for comparison).
  2. Pull CRM/bookings/revenue for the same window.
  3. Fill the scoreboard below.
  4. Annotate changes (creative, budget, site, season).
  5. Decide: scale / hold / fix / kill.
  6. Brief creative or ops with one clear request.

Do this even when numbers are good — especially when numbers are good.

Definitions you must lock

Write them once at the top of the sheet:

  • Result = the Ads Manager optimisation event
  • Qualified = sales-accepted
  • Booking = on calendar / paid deposit
  • Time zone = GST
  • Currency = AED

Arguments die when definitions live.

Segmentation worth a glance (not 40 tabs)

Weekly, scan:

  • Prospecting vs retargeting spend and CPA
  • By campaign objective
  • By top placement only if diagnosing
  • By language tag if bilingual

Deep dives monthly, not every Monday — unless something broke.

Decision log (the most ignored section)

DateDecisionWhyOwnerReview date
2026-08-03+15% budget C1CPA stable 2 weeksSara2026-08-10
2026-08-03Kill Reel_07Fatigue, CTR↓Dev—

Without this, teams reverse each other’s changes.

Annotation catalogue (tag weeks)

  • Season: Ramadan / DSF / NYE
  • Tracking change
  • Price change
  • Stockout
  • Competitor shock (optional)
  • Creative batch ID
  • Landing page release

CPM spikes without annotations create mythology.

Owner vs practitioner views

Owner (5 lines): spend, blended revenue or bookings, cost per booking, one risk, one plan.

Practitioner (full scoreboard): plus creative and ops.

Do not email 12 screenshots without a sentence of interpretation.

Sample narrative paragraph (model)

“We spent AED 1,820 (+12% WoW). 64 WhatsApp conversations; 18 qualified; 7 booked jobs (AED 260 cost/booked). CPM rose with early promo competition; CTR held on new UGC. Ops response time slipped to 22 min Thursday — fixed staffing Friday. Next: two Arabic hooks, hold budget, fix LP load on product X.”

That is a report. A CSV is not.

Red flags to escalate same day (not next Monday)

  • Payment method failing
  • Account restriction notices
  • Pixel dead
  • CPA 2× target with no tracking bug
  • Inbox collapse (leads unanswered)

Cadence beyond weekly

  • Daily (5 min): delivery anomalies, disapprovals
  • Weekly (30 min): this template
  • Monthly (90 min): structure prune, creative strategy, budget reallocation, seasonal plan

Sheet structure suggestion

Tab 1: Weekly scoreboard Tab 2: Decision log Tab 3: Creative library status Tab 4: Definitions Tab 5: Monthly rollup

Keep it boring enough that someone will maintain it.

Agency accountability

If an agency reports only reach and “engagement rate,” demand the scoreboard columns above. Ask for CRM reconciliation monthly. Own the Business Manager.

Illustrative use: multi-branch beauty

Branches in JLT and Mirdif. Report splits cost per booked by branch WhatsApp line. Creative winners in JLT fail in Mirdif — localise. Budget follows contribution, not ego. (Illustrative.)

Template kickoff checklist

  • Definitions filled
  • CRM export path known
  • Ads access confirmed
  • Owner receives the narrative every Monday 11:00
  • Creative SLA attached to decisions
  • Seasonal calendar linked

Reporting does not optimise campaigns by itself — but without it you optimise by mood. Mood is expensive in AED. Install the ritual this week and keep it until the numbers bore you with their consistency.

Full example week (illustrative numbers)

Spend AED 2,100. Messages 92. Qualified 28. Booked 11. Cost per booking AED 191. Blended tracked revenue from those jobs AED 9,400 (incomplete lagging revenue still open). CPM up 18% WoW as city-wide retail promos started. New UGC Reel delivered 40% of bookings. Arabic ads 22% of spend, 30% of bookings — increase AR production. WhatsApp median reply 6 minutes except Wednesday spike (14 minutes) — add cover shift.

Decisions: +10% budget on prospecting; kill two statics; brief two Arabic hooks; no bid strategy change.

Metrics glossary for non-marketers

  • CPM: cost per 1,000 impressions — auction + relevance pressure
  • CTR: click-through rate — creative resonance
  • CPA/CPL: cost per acquisition/lead — efficiency to event
  • ROAS: revenue ÷ ad spend on attributed sales — incomplete offline
  • MER: total revenue ÷ total marketing spend — healthier north star for founders
  • Frequency: average times seen — fatigue signal

Quarterly board version

One slide: spend, MER, cost per booking trend, creative output count, risks. No placement vanity.

Automation lite

  • Scheduled email export from Ads Manager or Looker/Sheets connector
  • CRM CSV every Monday 9:00
  • Still write the narrative by hand — that is the thinking step

Tools do not replace judgement; they remove copy-paste pain.

What “good” looks like after four weeks of ritual

You will know the system works when Monday debates shrink. The sheet already shows whether Arabic deserves more budget, whether Wednesday staffing broke CPA, and whether last week’s creative batch earned its keep. Founders stop asking for “more reach screenshots.” Practitioners stop defending every dirham with vibes.

If after a month the document is empty or copy-pasted without narrative, appoint a new owner. Process without ownership is décor.

Pairing with diagnosis and policy

When CPM or ROAS looks wrong, do not only paste numbers — link the week’s row to the diagnose high CPM playbook and note which branch of the tree you are on. When disapprovals hit, log them beside policy guidance so patterns become training, not surprises.
