SEO Packages India

Compare Indian SEO package bands by actual work, ownership, content and technical scope instead of package names or keyword counts alone.

An SEO package is useful only when it makes a recurring scope easier to inspect. Bronze, Growth and Enterprise are labels chosen by the seller. They do not tell you how much senior work, content, technical implementation or commercial measurement you are buying.

These are market observations, not our rate card. Shabang scopes after understanding the brief. The INR bands below are a synthesis of public Indian agency pricing checked on 10 Aug 2026, not Shabang package prices. GST, media, software and major development are separate unless a live proposal says otherwise.

Practical SEO package bands

Monthly package (INR)A defensible scope might includeCheck before buying
Under ₹15,000Audit basics, a small page set, local setup, reporting and limited contentNamed hours, implementation responsibility and whether content is actually produced
₹15,000 - ₹30,000Priority-page research and optimisation, local work, technical monitoring and light monthly contentPage limits, review process, developer access and authority method
₹30,000 - ₹60,000Technical backlog, commercial-page programme, recurring content, internal links and conversion reportingSenior oversight, publishing ownership and measurable quarterly priorities
₹60,000 - ₹1,00,000Competitive content velocity, deeper technical work, multi-location planning and legitimate outreachSpecialist mix, quality control, link evidence and attribution
₹1,00,000 - ₹3,00,000+Large-site technical work, several content streams, digital PR and cross-team programme managementDedicated capacity, governance, release process and commercial scorecard

The correct package can sit below or above these bands. A single-location business with ten valuable pages may need a sharp sprint rather than a large retainer. A catalogue or marketplace may require substantial technical work before content volume matters.

Public market anchors

upGrowth's India pricing guide publishes ₹8,000 to ₹3,00,000+ per month, with many growth-stage startups and SMBs between ₹25,000 and ₹1,00,000. Lenoretech describes approximately ₹15,000, ₹40,000 and ₹80,000+ retainer levels. PageTraffic's public package PDF states that pricing starts at ₹60,000 for six months and then varies scope by page and keyword counts.

Each publisher sells SEO, so the figures are commercial disclosures rather than a neutral tariff. Shabang has not audited the suppliers or their work. The value here is transparency about visible market asks; the buyer still has to verify the live team and deliverables.

Why keyword counts are a weak comparison

A proposal promising 100 keywords may simply track 100 phrases. It does not prove the agency will fix templates, build useful pages or improve conversion paths. One strong service-page programme can require more judgment than tracking hundreds of low-value variants.

Ask instead: which search intents matter commercially, which existing URL owns each one, what new page deserves to exist, which technical constraints block it, and how the result will be connected to enquiries or revenue.

Package scope checklist

A clear package states:

  1. Discovery inputs and baseline access
  2. Technical audit depth and who ships fixes
  3. Commercial pages to improve or create
  4. Research, writing, design, review and publishing ownership
  5. Local SEO eligibility and Business Profile responsibilities
  6. Link acquisition or digital PR method, with practices explicitly excluded
  7. Analytics events and lead-quality feedback
  8. Named team, senior review and meeting cadence
  9. Monthly output plus quarterly decision points
  10. GST, tools, development, travel and other pass-through costs

Deliverables that need definitions

SEO audit can mean an automated export or a prioritised implementation backlog. Content can mean a topic outline or a fully reviewed page in the CMS. Backlink can mean relevant editorial coverage or a placement on an unrelated site. Reporting can mean rankings or a review that changes the next month's plan. Put the definition in the scope.

Package red flags

  • Guaranteed rankings or traffic without a baseline
  • A fixed backlink volume with no relevance or approval standard
  • Dozens of deliverables but no named owner or hours
  • New city pages where the business has no distinct service evidence
  • Business Profile creation for an address that is not eligible
  • A long lock-in before any diagnostic or review point
  • Reports that count activity without qualified enquiries

When custom scope is better

Choose a custom scope for migrations, penalties or traffic losses, large ecommerce catalogues, multiple brands, several real locations, regulated content or an internal team that needs advisory support rather than outsourced delivery. These briefs are driven by risk and ownership, not a standard keyword allowance.

FAQs

Which SEO package should a small business choose?

Start with the smallest scope that can solve a defined commercial problem and still fund implementation. Ask for the first 90 days in writing rather than choosing by package label.

No. If authority work is included, the proposal should explain the method, relevance standard, approval process and reporting. A quantity alone is not enough.

Can Shabang quote from this table?

No. The table describes observed Indian market bands. Shabang scopes after reviewing the brief, site, competition, implementation needs and measurement.
